Mondain Amsterdam – 2014, 3 friends weren’t able to find the perfect sneaker. So we decided to start making drawings and develop the perfect sneaker by ourselves. Knowing quality shoes are made in Europe, we decided to produce close by home. Living in Amsterdam, we opened our head office close to the ‘Leidseplein’. After several sourcing trips to Italy, Spain, Portugal and some other countries, we decided to start our first production in Portugal. Portugal is still well known for making top quality sneakers.
Our #1 priority was; quality. We wanted to create the perfect sneaker by using the best premium materials and creating the most comfortable fit. After some research we found out that Italy still has the best premium leathers available. So we decided to start using these materials for our sneakers and we still do.

There are several methods of production for sneakers. And we believe that we have found the best way to produce the most comfortable luxury sneaker.

For us, a sneaker is not only for wearing underneath your favorite jeans. But also for any other occasion, like going to the office or attending a wedding. In the past, people went to the office or wedding with their black – or dark brown brogues or classic loafers. This can be nice sometimes but you want to have that casual look as well in your closet!

Our sneakers perfectly fit underneath a suit or classy outfit, which will still give you that neat and sophisticated look.
